Captain Brian Gwinnup

Captain Brian Gwinup

Brian has been teaching power boating and sailing for the past 13 years and He has earned the American Sailing Association (ASA) instructor certification for ASA 201, 202, 203, 204, 205, 206, 214 and 216. He is also a Recreational Power Boat Association (RPBA) instructor. In addition to his marine experience, he has served over 27 years in the Air Force and been an instructor on multiple aircraft.

Brian was selected as an American Sailing Outstanding Instructor of the year for 2021 and 2022 which honors the top 1% of ASA instructors based on student surveys.

 
Captain Michael Morris

Captain Michael Morris

Michael grew up sailing the waters of Pensacola on family vacations, so he got the sailing bug early. After moving to Niceville in 2012, he started crewing in the local club’s sailboat races to hone his skills.

Sailing with Capt. Brian since he founded Mid Bay Sailing, Michael has earned his American Sailing Association (ASA) instructor certification for ASA 201, 203, and 204.

Captain Tom McNally

Captain Tom McNally

As a life-long sailor, Tom has a wealth of experience in boats large and small, both cruising and racing, all over the country, as well as the Caribbean and the Mediterranean.  Tom brings his passion and enthusiasm for sailing to create a fun, stress-free learning environment.

Tom has earned American Sailing Association (ASA) instructor certification for ASA 201, 203, 204.

Captain Zack Kastl

Zack has been sailing from the age of four, starting on his dad’s FJ in San Francisco Bay and hasn’t stopped since. He has sailed competitively as a junior in the Western Long Island Sound club circuit, as a high schooler at Tabor Academy, and in college at Northeastern University. He has cruised extensively throughout New England, the Caribbean, and around the Gulf Coast. As a coach for the local high school sailing team for the last 12 years, he has developed a well honed knack for sailing instruction. Zack has earned the American Sailing Association (ASA) instructor certification for ASA 201, 203, 204, and 205. He also holds current US Sailing certifications for International Offshore Safety at Sea and Small Boat Instructor.”

Captain Joseph “RAMSTY" Siberski

Ramsty learned to sail growing up near Lake Erie before his US Air Force career flying F-15s kept him land-locked for many years.  Thankfully, military retirement and the beautiful coast lured him back to sailing.  He soon jumped at Captain Brian’s invitation to join the elite crew of Mid Bay Sailing to share his experience and love of sailing with everyone he meets.

Ramsty actively organizes Bluewater Bay Sailing Club events, and holds American Sailing Association (ASA) certifications for ASA 201, 203, and 204.
